GeneNurture – Look after your genes

Gene Nurture is all about targeting the environment in which changes occur that can affect the way your genes work.

Ideally, we want to transition to a point where people carry a genome card and physicians could typically examine your DNA to diagnose or treat you.

‘Genetic Nurture’ advice would follow two simple approaches:

  1. Preventative
  2. Reversible

‘Genetic Nurture’ can act in two ways. Preventative – whereby you would obtain your Gene report that would show disease susceptibility predicated on gene risk variants, highlighting potential diet deficiencies.

The other is reversible, this is when the gene expression has been negatively affected a personalized lifestyle plan be set in place to help amend it.

Can Diet Slow Aging? The Science Behind Nutrigeroscience

Nutrigeroscience, a growing field studying the interaction between diet and aging, suggests that macronutrients—proteins, fats, and carbohydrates—play a direct role in cellular senescence, the process where cells lose function over time. By fine-tuning our diets, we may have the power to slow down this aspect of aging and promote a longer, healthier life. The Role
